Alders Beach Resort is centrally located on Vancouver Island in the small community of Merville, situated just north of Courtenay and south of Campbell River, BC, Canada. The waterfront rustic cottage retreat is settled in nicely in a peaceful and private setting on the coastline with sandy beaches and oceans as the front yard and ground squirrels, Blue Herons and Bald Eagles playing in the backyard- everything enjoys some time away from traffic, communities and noise.

Some of the 2-3 bedroom self contained units at the Alders Beach Cottage Resort are stand alone cottages and others are side by side duplex style cottages. Each bedroom in each unit varies also with king, queen, single or bunk beds.

All units enjoy fully equipped kitchens stocked with the necessary cutlery, china, and kitchen appliances including a fridge, stove and microwave. Cottage heat is provided by either wood stoves, electric baseboards, gas fireplaces or by a combination.

To truly enjoy the surroundings and your time away from home and work, each cottage comes without TV, stereo or telephone. Privacy, exploration and conversation is encouraged. However.. cell service, internet and a pay phone are available. Also available on-site is a coin laundry for the inescapable task of washing your adventure clothing.

From the cottage patio one can hear birds singing all day. There are times when deer are lazily munching on the grass in full view. At low tides the ocean waters recede and the beach opens up to sand dunes, tide pools and plenty of room to walk and explore.
