British Columbia, Canada is a winter wonderland
attracting visitors to the province from all over the world including
central and eastern Canada because BC in the west is under sunny
skies most of time well the rest of Canada is under snow. Hence
why in BC, Canada a golf game at the lower elevations and skiing
at the alpine elevations in the same day is possible and common.
Most arrive to explore the snow covered higher
elevations in the alpine peaks. BC is very mountainous and there
are many peaks with snow attracting people to the province to
snow ski, snowboard, cross country ski, snowmobile, snowshoe,
storm watch or attend a BC spa or wine tasting at one of the local
wineries.
During the snow covered winter months BC, Canada
ski hills buzz with activity as outdoor snow
enthusiasts gather to experience some of the best ski
and snowboard runs and trails available
in Canada. But almost every time there is snow,
it is at the higher elevations on our ski hills,
leaving the golf courses, parks and trails
down low enjoying sunny, cloudy and "fresh air"
skies. You may experience the rain factor at times.
Down at sea level, where snow is rare, the community
theatres and art galleries hum
with activity as people whisper amongst themselves praising the
skills and talents of our local artists.
A big misnomer, globally, is that all of Canada
is snow country every day and throughout most
of the year. Hellooo ... no igloos here. Canada's weather is very
diverse in each region.
Let the truth be known, some provinces receive
snow in the winter and spring months in quantity amounts, no doubt,
but British Columbia is the exception to the rule. The Rocky Mountains,
the winds blowing off the Pacific Ocean affords BC, Canada a whole
different weather system then what most of Canada is receiving.
BC is the year round playground of the northwest, per say.
In the winter and spring seasons come and enjoy
some of the cultural arts and theatre available in BC like any
of the art festivals, gallery exhibits, museums and
"world class" theatres.
In the peak of the winter season it is relatively
busy for British Columbia travel winter tourism businesses. All
visitors planning on visiting British Columbia, Canada during
the winter should plan well ahead of their departure dates...
using this website of course eh.
